Integration Between Sale / Purchase and Spreadsheets

We would like to propose a new feature enhancement for integrated spreadsheet-based pricing calculations for Sales Orders and Purchase Orders. We have the plan since a long time on the Todo-List.

Now, Odoo S.A. has implemented a spreadsheet-like interface (e.g., via the Spreadsheet app) to facilitate dynamic price calculations in Sale Orders, allowing users to define complex pricing logic via formulas, conditional rules, and real-time data references (e.g., product cost, margins, volume discounts).

We believe this approach significantly improves flexibility, transparency, and accuracy in pricing – especially for complex or customized business scenarios – and it would be highly beneficial to extend this capability to Purchase Orders as well.

Has anybody started already something like that ?
Let us join forces to get similar functionality.

Sounds like a fantastic idea, I was just wondering about this whilst working on spreadsheet_oca for V18. Nice to know the OCA is always one step ahead in their thinking! Pretty sure we can do something as good or even better than EE has for this.

I think maybe something like mrp_bom_line_formula_quantity to use the product's custom attributes to make some price calculations based on those attributes would be awesome. It's my first comment in the OCA btw hehe
