EdTech Course Analytics Dashboard

Project Overview

In this project, we analyze data collected from various EdTech platforms to extract valuable insights and help an EdTech startup optimize its recorded lecture offerings. The goal is to clean and analyze the dataset, then build a dashboard that visualizes key trends, improving strategic decision-making for content expansion.

Problem Statement

An EdTech startup wants to expand its recorded lecture offerings but needs insights from collected data to make informed decisions. As a data analyst, your task is to explore trends, engagement patterns, and key metrics that influence course viewership and user preferences.

Key Objectives

  1. Course Distribution & Trends

    • Analyze course distribution across categories & subcategories.
    • Identify the most popular course types and count available courses.
  2. Viewership Insights

    • Compute average views per category, subcategory, and language.
    • Understand engagement patterns for content development.
  3. Skill Relevance

    • Identify the most in-demand skills based on course categories.
  4. Language Distribution & Preferences

    • Explore the languages in which courses are created.
    • Identify language preferences for the top 5 categories based on user demand.
  5. Subtitles & Accessibility

    • Analyze how subtitles impact engagement and course accessibility.
  6. Top Instructors

    • Determine the highest-rated instructors per category & subcategory.
    • Highlight educators who consistently deliver high-quality content.
  7. Course Duration vs. Engagement

    • Analyze the relationship between course length and viewer engagement.
    • Consider constraints: 60 hours/month, flexible schedules up to 200 hours.
  8. Skill Variety & Viewership Impact

    • Investigate how diverse skill offerings in categories influence viewership.

Tech Stack

  • SQL (for data querying and transformation)
  • Power BI (for dashboard visualization)
