TrimUI Smart Pro joystick input dropouts

Hey!

There is a known problem with the software driver regarding the joysticks, where there are some occasional input dropouts which makes racing games unplayable on TSP.

There is a fix which is implemented in Crossmix by changing the /usr/trimui/bin/triumui_inputd file to a corrected version, and it would be nice if this fix could be included on the NextUI installation in TSP. On Crossmix it is implemented as a configurable option between a 14ms and a 1ms input delay version.

I fell like this is something that should be adressed by Trimui via stock OS software update, no? Did anyone try to bring this to their attention? I guess this could be made available via Pak Store if need be, but this is the first time I'm hearing of this issue.

Polling input on a 1ms delay is probably also not great in terms of CPU utilization, so this sounds like it potentially comes with additional side effects...

There is also a version with 14ms polling

Any reason why 14ms specifically is better than the default (I'm assuming 16.6666ms for 60Hz)?

I don't think there is any reason for it to be specifically better, maybe it is 14 ms because of the way the bug is solved. I did not create the fix, so I am not aware of its specifics. I only saw that this issue was happening on my TSP when playing any game, most noticeably in Midnight Club 3, searched for the bug, and found the fix implemented by Crossmix.

Maybe it was caused in my case by experimenting with other OS's, but when I searched about it, it seemed like the bug comes from the factory.
