Hi, I’m Kaarel (KJ)

SCADA Team Lead working on renewable energy operations. Software Engineering student at TalTech.

I work on systems where uptime and data quality matter, and I build software that helps stakeholders understand operational data and make decisions.

What I do

  • Lead delivery: requirements → backlog → sprint planning → release
  • Build SCADA and web views/dashboards that turn data into usable information
  • Design and maintain backend services and data integrations (Java/Python, PostgreSQL time-series)
  • Coordinate scope and timelines with stakeholders and external partners

Technical focus

  • Backend/Data: Java (Spring Boot), Python, PostgreSQL (time-series), SQL, REST APIs
  • UI/Views: React, SCADA dashboards/views, operational UI
  • Practices: layered architecture, validation/error handling, Git workflows, clear documentation
  • Tools: Jira, Figma (flows/wireframes)
