RealLife React Native Project COMP4511 UNSW

This is a React Native project that has been developed as a group assignment for COMP4511 at UNSW. RealLife is an app based on React Native that allows user to create and join groups or events for things happening around them. RealLife encourages people to go out there and meet new people and to explore new things and to actually live the Real Life.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

Make sure you have the following prerequisites installed on your machine:

Installation

  1. Clone the repository: git clone git@nw-syd-gitlab.cseunsw.tech:z5352065/watermelon-hamster-react-native.git
  2. Navigate to the project directory: cd watermelon-hamster-react-native
  3. Install Dependencies npm install

Usage

Once the dependencies are setup, ensure that the relevant fonts have been isntalled on the system.

  1. Run the application: npx expo start
  2. Select the device you want to run the project on.
  3. Follow on screen prompts to open the file in an emulator or physical device using expo.

Project Structure

The project follows a folder structure as outlined below:

  1. screens: Contains different screens of the application.
  2. components: Reusable components used across multiple screens.
  3. assets: Store fonts, images, or other static assets.

The project has been developed as part of the COMP4511 Course running in 2023 Term 3. The contributors of the project are Gary Ang Ang, Kevin Sutandi, Alexander Effendy and Kshitij Deodhar
