I graduated from both front-end and back-end software development bootcamps through Promineo Tech. I started my Masters program in choral conducting from Messiah University in January 2025, so time to write code has been non-existent this year. The program is filling in all the gaps in my transition from a band director to a choir director, however, and it has been a wonderful experience thus far.
๐ญ Next up projects: I began a website for my marching band, who will be traveling to France in 2027 (and we need some serious $$$ flow to make that trip!) I am using a template, but customizing it is a great refresher for HTML, CSS and JS. I hope to stay on my toes so I don't have to relearn everything when I get a little bit of time back for coding.
For next summer, I want to create a dot book app for my marching band kids to use. I'm still working on my portfolio website, and purchased a domain https://whatsthehapps.dev/ for use by myself and my son, who graduated in comp sci last May. I hope between the two of us we can come up with and implement some great ideas.
๐ฑ I am still utilizing my software development skills to create tools that help music teachers, but it has been slow with all of my other responsibilities. ๐ค ๐ฌ Ask me about my banana flute.
