Issue Details

Steps to reproduce:

1. Before going to sleep, Adguard adblocker for Android TV is enabled.
2. The next morning, when using the device, Adguard adblocker is disabled.

Expected Behavior

Should not be automatically disabled.

Actual Behavior

AdGuard Adblocker disables it automatically on the device.

@Batman2814 Please disable the Energy optimization option for AdGuard app in the system settings, then relaunch AdGuard application. Let me know the results after one more night.

@Batman2814 We have managed to reproduce this issue on our side, and are currently investigating the cause of this problem.

I'm also having this issue: I tried clearing app cache, reinstalling and updating again through app settings, also tried TV App Only mode, tried installing AdGuard VPN so both apps are together. But still it gets disabled every TV restart and needs to be started manually. If the TV sleeps ("soft shutdown"), the app keeps active, but if it actually shutdowns, AdGuard protection dies.

Is there any version in which this doesn't happen so I can fall back/downgrade?

This issue is not fixed in version 4.8, which was just released. Any idea when this issue will be fixed?

Same for me. I was hopeful that disabling the energy optimization would help, but it seems not.

I'm curious if it's related to the Power Save feature maybe? That's set to 30 minutes, and it seems like if I use the remote to turn off Google TV, if I turn it back on again 2 minutes later, the AdGuard service is still running. But if I wait more than 30 minutes or so, it's off, and I have to enter the app manually to have it be re-enabled.
