What is Foldset?
Foldset lets you charge AI agents (and bots in general) for accessing your content. When an agent requests a protected page, it has the option to pay. No API keys, no subscriptions, no invoices.
Why do I need Foldset?
For web content, advertisers won't pay to show AI agents ads, so you need a new way to monetize that traffic. Foldset replaces the revenue you're losing. For APIs and MCP, your specialized tools are better than what general AI can do on its own, so agents will pay to use them. Subscriptions don't make sense for AI because agents interact with thousands of services and can't sign up for each one. Pay per request is the only model that scales. Foldset provides the payment infrastructure so you don't have to build it.
How much volume are you seeing?
On an average day, the network processes over 200k+ transactions and over $100k+ in volume, and growing.
How do I get paid?
Earnings accumulate in your dashboard. You can withdraw to your bank account whenever you like.
How do agents pay?
Agents attach a payment to the HTTP request automatically. If they don't pay, they don't get access. There are multiple companies handling the wallet and payment side for agents, so adoption is broad. You don't need to do anything on your end.
What about human visitors?
For web access, human visitors come through normally. For MCP, we recommend blocking everyone. For APIs, we recommend blocking everyone unless people already use your API, in which case we recommend blocking just AI agents.
Can I see who is accessing my content?
Yes. Your dashboard shows which agents are hitting your routes. There are also emerging protocols for linking an agent back to the human user behind it, and we're adding support for those so you can reach out to them directly.
Does Foldset add latency?
Barely. Our p50 latency is 30ms and p99 is 120ms. For human visitors, it's even less since they skip the payment verification step entirely.
How long does setup take?
Most sites are live in under ten minutes. Sign up, add a small code snippet, choose which routes to protect, and you're done.
What about my brand?
Foldset stays in the background. We just handle payments and analytics.
How much does Foldset cost?
Core functionality is free. Analytics, content blocking, and payouts cost nothing. We have paid features coming soon.
How much can I charge?
You set the price per route. We've seen prices as low as $0.0001 and as high as $50+ per request. It depends on what you're offering.
Are there rules for how agents use my content?
Yes. Foldset provides default terms that control what agents can do with your content, but you can customize or replace them. See the full AI access terms.
