About our Program

Do Re Mi Babies offers exciting and engaging music & movement for babies and toddlers ages 0-5 years. These uniquely designed classes are for both parent/caregiver and baby to develop a love of music together!

Music is such a magical and important cornerstone of early childhood development. Music builds brain connections that help children develop skills in language, math, emotional regulation, social awareness and so much more! The programs at Do Re Mi Babies have been created and developed to specifically help build your child’s WHOLE brain through music, movement, interaction and play!

Participants will learn and sing a variety of songs and lullabies, dance and move their bodies to different songs and rhythms, learn songs in different languages including sign language, play musical games, make their very own musical instruments, and more!

Hi, I’m ChristinaCreator and Instructor of Do Re Mi Babies!

My name is Christina Free and I love making, performing and teaching all things music! I have been playing the violin since age 5 and the piano since the age of 4 and probably started singing even younger than 4! I have been playing the violin and piano and singing for over 25 years and have taught private and group music lessons to children and adults for over 10 years.

I was inspired to create Do Re Mi Babies after the birth my first son. I wanted to start a program specifically for babies and young children after experiencing the joy I felt when I would play music for and with my own child and witnessed his incredible engagement at such a young age! Music is my passion and my goal is to help families develop and foster a love of music together!

Having researched and studied the many benefits of music in baby’s brain development, I wanted to share my knowledge and skills with other parents so they could also reap the benefits that music brings in early childhood development for their families.

Every class I teach brings me so much joy – getting to share my love of music with families and children in my community is so rewarding and I’m endlessly grateful that I get to witness firsthand the power of music in child development!

About my Musical Background

Most of my musical studies were undertaken at the Academy at Mount Royal University – a program for young, gifted musicians.
