Hi friend! I’m Devin VonderHaar, creator of the modern minimalist, a home therapy + interior design business based in Portland, Oregon. My mission is to inspire creative, neurodivergent women and gender nonconforming humans to live more intentionally, starting with your relationship to home.
My work here is in 4 themes:
home therapy- what I call my holistic blend of interior design, decluttering organizing, vision work, counseling, coaching work with clients, occasionally I’ll feature some of those projects here.
intentional living- tools I’ve found helpful along my journey- mediums, astrology, feng shui, books I recommend and new habits I’ve found helpful.
self discovery- raw, vulnerable shares of personal growth and what’s present for me in the moment
travel- guides to all my favorite places- design destinations, both places abroad and plenty of local pnw guides too
I am a multi passionate, queer + highly sensitive human. A virgo rising, taurus sun, scorpio moon, 6:2 generator and empath. I am inspired by Australian, Japanese, and Scandinavian design. I enjoy renovating our 70s midmod ranch, hiking, music festivals, gardening, architecture, tarot + all things witchy.
I live in Vancouver Washington with my trans husband Jess and our rescue pup Siena. I was a master certified konmari consultant trained by Marie Kondo, had a partnership with the container store, and have a holistic educational background in clinical mental health counseling, interior design and as a reiki master. My work has been featured in Shira Gill’s book Organized Living, Real Simple, Yoga Journal, Oregon Home Magazine, Apartment Therapy, Design Milk, Good Housekeeping and many other publications.
