Hi, I’m Cléo.
I’m 35, from Paris, and the founder of Bomengo.
For the past fifteen years, I’ve lived across Europe, Africa, and Brazil, searching for an eldorado — a place where I could feel whole as a Black woman.
But I realized no environment was perfect.
The same global systems — capitalism, patriarchy, and white supremacy — shape them all.
So I decided to build that eldorado myself.
After fifteen years in finance — and receiving the Margaret Award for Women in Tech — I found the confidence to challenge capitalism and use my voice for real, systemic change.
Inspired by activists, I found clarity.
Inspired by artists, I began to dream again.
Bomengo is my pragmatic love letter to both — a cooperative tech platform anchored in a rigorous and visionary narrative of love, freedom, and justice.
In Lingala, Bomengo means abundance.
And I believe the understanding of abundance will only happen through a love revolution.
In this Substack, you’ll find my essays, research notes, and reflections on Bomengo’s evolution — along with early invitations to our dinners and workshops on pragmatic utopias, co-hosted with artists and activists shaping new futures with us.
If you believe love can change systems — welcome home.
