I am a writer ~ fiction, nonfiction, and journalism. This is my (occasional and evolving) newsletter.
Welcome to my newsletter, Books I Read.
This will now be an echo of my Instagram feed: @read_books_23 where I post photos of the books I’ve finished reading. No reviews, the occasional comments, yes. This is a project I started in January 2023.
Here’s a little more about who I am…
After a lengthy career in the film industry, I decided to devote myself to my writing interests. In 2015 I earned an MFA in Creative Writing. Since then, I have been writing, and writing, and writing. Making my way along that learning curve that’s required whenever one begins to evolve in a new professional yet creative arena. There have been many ups and downs in the last few years. But, I am now calling myself a writer and not apologizing for it.
I’m primarily a writer of fiction—my first love in writing and reading. I have written (and am currently writing) novels and short stories. Many of my short stories have seen publication. I’ve also written and published nonfiction, essays, and memoir-type pieces. I’ve written a play or two. During the pandemic, I forayed into journalistic writing and have had some success in that world.
