This is a class for adults or teens who have either not yet learned how to ride a bike, or learned a long time ago but want a refresher on the basics of balancing, pedaling and steering. Our trained instructors are friendly, patient, and will help you get off to a great start in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

In partnership with Bike Concord, Central San will guide participants along a portion of the wastewater infrastructure following the Iron Horse Trail. Discover what’s happening beneath your wheels!
Our route begins at Pleasant Hill BART Station. We will travel south to Hemme Station Park in Alamo before turning around and returning to Pleasant Hill BART.
Hemme Station Park is a great location to get picked-up if you only want to ride the route one direction. You can view the full Bike Tour and additional information here.
Bike party is a 100% volunteer run event. Find the green flag at the beginning of the ride to help volunteer at turn corners. Turn volunteers stay at turns during the ride to help direct all riders along the route, they start with the green flag and stay until the end of the ride- our sweep with the broom- tags you out. see the whole of bike party ride through a turn!!!
Follow six simple ride rules to keep everyone rubber side down (and for you wheeliers please do it SAFELY!)
Stay to the right – let cars pass in the left lane
Stop at lights – especially at major intersections. it is not our standard practice to cork or block intersections
Ride straight (be predictable and don’t swerve!)
Don’t hate – Roll past conflict
PACK YOUR TRASH!!!
Don’t get smashed- figuratively or literally and when in doubt …. BIKE PARTY!!!!
