Here are a few more things to add to the list, including a few I forgot to mention before:

  • The achievements are being awarded at 24 and 49, rather than 25 and 50, as written.
  • Sometimes giving a lust gift raises love as well. I raised both of Maeve's stats at once with nothing but meatballs.
  • It's not consistent how stats are raised and achievements awarded. All interactive lewds seem to count as "creampies", even when they aren't, but only certain cutes are counted as "cuddles".
  • I'm seeing foreign language comments appear during lewds. Maeve appears to be speaking Italian.
  • How can you have a higher number in "creampies" than "sex"?
  • When cycling through the girls profiles, it used to stay fixed on "hints", or perhaps it was whatever you already had selected. Now it stays fixed on the backgrounds tab, and I have to manually switch them on every screen. (I've commented on this one before).
  • The display of stats above 100 is getting chopped off.

Thank you. You are right. I don't remember setting them there, but I was exploring the crystal menu at one point, so it must've been then.

In that case, the problem is that setting them in your room has unclear consequences.

First of all, I want to say I love the new direction taken here, and all the improvements to gameplay. It's making the thing much more interactive and interesting.

However this has come at the expense of a huge number of bugs and inconveniences. So in the spirit of constructive criticism, I have made a long list of issues I experienced in the most recent version (although some have actually been around for a while).

Bugs and irritations (as of v0.105):

  • The font size of all the new activities is way too small (desktop version).
  • Assignments in the new job management system disappear between sessions.
  • The ranch shop is now only available once in the morning. Inconvenient.
  • The cooking minigame events start and end without warning. You get one that requires spamming clicks, then instantly switch to another where you have to stop the indicator, and you accidentally click it too early.
  • The 30 second plus wait in the cooking minigame is incredibly annoying. It needs to be shorter.
  • You can't use the eggs or milk from farming in cooking. They don't go into your inventory.
  • There is no source of salmon anywhere anymore, making cooking with it impossible.
  • The workshop minigames shouldn't need to have the entire ruleset spelled out every time.
  • The white-on-light shapes in the transport minigame are almost impossible to see, especially with my colorblind eyes.
  • After I finished building it up to max, the farming game worked for two days, then stopped. Maintenance and resources no longer reset in the morning.
  • The work management system likewise appears to have stopped. I don't get money from it in the morning anymore.
  • The fishing event at the pond seems to have disappeared entirely.
  • When I finish fishing at the beach, I get dropped back at the pond.
  • I find the grid placement part of the fishing game to be annoying, and confusing at first. It just doesn't seem necessary.
  • There is still no consistency in the girl's interaction choices.
  • Half of the interactions still drop you back into your room when finished.
  • Heramael's achievements appear to be broken (assuming the goals are the same as with the other girls'). I have all her stats up more than high enough, but have gotten nothing.
  • And a couple of her achievements are just unobtainable... there is no option to hug/cuddle her.
  • Maeve and Hell have stopped appearing in their rooms, for some reason. The former makes it impossible to complete her achievements. Edit: see the replies below.
  • When I went to headpat handhold Maeve (before she disappeared), I got Asmedia's tailjob instead.
  • It takes entirely too many clicks to complete some interactions. Asmedia's headpat is six clicks deep, for example. At the very least, I think the interactive menus should start in the open position.
  • The shop interfaces are inconvenient. You have to set the quantity spinner before making your choice, and have to cancel/back up if you forget. And there's also no way to see how much you already have in inventory.
  • The top-screen items (girls, etc.) disappear seemingly at random in the handling and girls' rooms, among other places.
  • The maps sometimes show characters in places where they aren't, and don't show them in places where they are.
  • Exiting the portal locations still drops you back into your room.
  • At night, it is impossible to exit the school or library locations, except through the "home" button.
  • There are way too many missing/mis-linked images to list. Mostly in the interactive lewds, but also, e.g. in the new Izamami fishing event.
  • When I was trying to buy fan art, I accidentally backed up at the wrong time, and the art stayed on-screen permanently. I had to reload from my last save.

I imagine some of these are known and being worked on, but I'm cataloging everything I can think of. I hope we can get these and others like them cleaned up quickly, so we can make a fun game even better. Thanks!

(1 edit)

Something is causing the screen to go all blurry when adventuring in the labyrinth. I think it happens when I activate the healing statue, but I'm not too sure. It lasts until I finish the level.

Edit: Ok, this time it started after I opened a treasure chest. I guess there are some event transitions that cause it to persist.

What he said. 😜

Doorway Effect is just a short scene with MC sitting on the bed talking to the cat. Nothing particularly earth-shattering. 😼

The Violet hint seems to be a bug. It's not actually available yet.

It seems strange that you aren't seeing the entry, at least, if you are already interacting. This is my character screen, for the record...

Leftmost 3rd row in the girls list is Chomuske the cat.

I don't remember offhand exactly how she gets unlocked (an event in the house somewhere, IIRC), but once you do you can give her fish you catch and get items in return. There's only one small tame event with her in any case.

It's a visual novel with a sandbox mode and a bit of branching. This means it's pretty much on rails.

Just keep interacting with the characters, and don't execute the main story event (where you reach the next destination) until you have experienced all of the currently available shipboard events.

Or just run it in straight VN mode if you want to experience the story with as little hassle as possible.

If you can't complete some event, it's usually because you haven't yet obtained all the requirements for it. Maybe you need to go up a few more levels or something. It's been a long time since I passed that part, so I can't say for sure. Just keep playing and focus on other interactions for a while.

There is currently only the one level.

If you sell anything important, you can buy it back again in the evenings from the trader's tent in the town.

And there is generally no time limit on any actions. You can't really "miss" anything. Just keep interacting with the same person until you trigger the events that progress the story.  Some events have to happen before others become available.

Check out the character pages on the wiki (see the game's home page, linked above) for some details on their progress paths.

You can buy a map to the factory at the Monday school festival. The office is one of the factory's sublocations.

That's what I figured. It's not a big deal, just a minor irritant. It was still a good game!

Just unarchive it and run "installdir/ahitr.sh".

The permissions should be set properly, but if not you might have to make it executable first.

Note that it will store master copies of your saves in ~/.renpy, so just do the same thing again when updating to a new version. It will automatically re-import them.

The new version completely fails to load my old saves. It always throws the following exception. If I "ignore", it starts a new   game. If I "rollback" it crashes.

I have tried re-downloading and re-installing, to no effect.

I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

I have just finished the game. Overall a rather good first effort, despite some bugs, logic errors, and game imbalances. Your experience here shows in Space Journey X.

My OCD feels a bit put out by the one gallery image that doesn't show up in the 3rd ending. It's Gwynn's Demonologist outfit, that you only get in ending 2. Unless there's some way to unlock it that I didn't find...

Why do some people seem to think MILF means fat and dumpy? I personally don't see much ILF in these images.

Thank you. Have you actually disabled them yourself? I posted comments on it just a month or so ago.

But there are definitely real problems, too. On another page I follow I only see the comments section if I log out. If I'm logged in, there's nothing. I have reported it, but have gotten no feedback as of yet.

And sorry, but I don't Discord. I have more than enough accounts to deal with already.

There's a reason lizards are not classified as mammals, y'know. 😉

I need some feedback. Is anyone else having trouble getting comment sections? I am no longer seeing comments on the main page, or on the newest (December update) log post. This is the first page that's letting me post.

This happens in multiple browsers, and despite all my attempts to test it, so it doesn't seem to be anything on my end. This isn't the only itch project I'm experiencing this on either. Am I alone here?

I have some buggy behavior to report, but I want it to be in a location that is relevant.

What game are you playing? 'Cause CoR is pretty much all story. You know, all that stuff about fighting to be the Champion of Realms and whatnot.

Ok, I'm officially stumped. Normally all it takes to complete things is to have patience and keep at it, but although I've found and finished literally everything else, that last hidden achievement just refuses to appear. I've played through several weeks of game time, visiting every location every hour. I've even run the Hawk club up to 70% tendency. Nothing.

If anyone knows anything about how to get this to appear, I'm all ears.

Katie's is provided by the final memory fragment.

I believe the I&J scenes are connected to the hidden achievement—and to each other. Search the library.

These things only show up after you have completed all the main story events.

After you try to assign the event to Nyx, go and chat with Gwynn. This will launch a mini-game for the map.

The game is a sliding-tile thing where you have to connect the two ends of the path. You can also get bonus items by matching rubble tiles, and use action scrolls to get more rubble to work with.

Yes, you can go back to the girl and re-play the event without time consumption.

The screenshot shows the wording: "The more money ... the less likely the character will accept your gift."

I think you want to say "more likely to accept" or "less likely to reject".

I would also change "character" to "girl/boy".

Maybe you don't need two separate options, either. The first one alone is enough, with a 1000c default amount. Just a thought.

I would really love to see a story path that gets you a harem with all the main girls together. But that may be asking too much?

Edit for one more... I really like the study scene. I've thought in the past that you need to do more show, not tell. I hope in the future to see other scenes, too, like running, lesson time, movie time, and sand castle girl.

Here's an idea for you. How about add a bit of a panty shot, or more, if the girl's lewdness and trust in you is high?

Wondering about it here, too. I've completed everything else; now I'm just aimlessly wandering around searching for the trigger.

So, does this final free version (0.2511) have new content? I played carefully through a week or so of game time and triggered nothing new, Only an apparent bug—I can go to the dean's office and seemingly re-start Eve's final storyline.

Also, unanswered questions... does bumping up the corruption stat actually do anything? And who is that regal-looking mystery woman in cyberspace who never talks to you?

In any case, I'm sorry to hear that it's going non-free. I sadly can't really afford to support it directly. But good luck to you!

(1 edit)

Thanks. Ok, that's strange then. For some reason the comments on your top page just up and vanished for me one day. And only on your page. All the other games I follow are fine, so I'd assumed is was something you disabled, for some reason. It doesn't appear to be an adblock-related problem, either.

Looking into it more carefully now... it seems to be related to my browser (Firefox). It's there in Chromium.

No, even stranger, it's there when I'm logged out, but gone when I log in. In both browsers. Now what could be causing that?

Yeah, you got me. Since I can't afford to buy anything, I'm guilty of only looking at the free versions. 😏 Not that there's more than a couple of weeks' difference between the two, anyway.

Nor does it change my main point. Before asking, or complaining, put in a bit of effort and look at previous release dates to see if the current gap is significantly greater than usual.

Renpy-based games store their saves in your user's system data area. They are not automatically removed, and will be reloaded when you update or reinstall.

Copies of your saves are also found in the gamedir > saves directory, allowing you to manually back up and re-load if necessary.

Android may work slightly differently.

It seems to be a bug, and the content has not actually been implemented yet. But I haven't seen anything specific from the developer about it.

It sounds great. I hope it really is as stable as promised. Unfortunately, I have to wait for it to reach free status. 🙁

If I may suggest future improvements, though, I have a couple...

1. More facial hair choices for the men (including goatees and the like, and for the MC, naturally), and pubic hair choices for girls.

Both style and color. Yes, there are some "color" choices in the editor, at least for girls, but they don't affect the main hair color, just the underlying tint, which I can hardly even see. They should default to the same color as the head hair. The carpet should match the drapes!

2. A major revamp of the NPC editor.

Specifically, I'm getting tired of having to manually edit 10+ pages of characters every time I start a new game.

It's not that I want specific features; rather I want to avoid certain ones I don't like. In particular I don't like my girls to have any sign of fat. The little bit of gut on waist shape 2 is especially irritating to me, as it comes up so often. I also don't like the shaved look, and (as it stands now) full-length stockings do not disappear along with the rest of the clothes, so I have to eliminate those.

So how about some way to apply changes in bulk, or at least give us a more stable and convenient interface for saving and reloading npcs? That way I'd only have to edit once, and then have my own stable of girls to play with. (I've been trying to figure out how to use the current one, but I just can't seem to get anything to load properly without it crashing and losing all my work.)

More visual editing selectors would be nice, too, so we can see what we're getting without having to cycle through numbers.

I think it would also be good to have percentage sliders for the generation rules, like het/bi/virgin/breast size/etc. rather than simple on/off boxes.

And include things like futas and milfs (who are not actually milfs, IMO; they don't have any 'ilf' in them) in the slider choices. I'd really like to separate virgin blood from violence blood, for example. I don't like the former, but don't mind the latter. A slider option for zero virgins would help with that.

A choice to have mixed nationality names might be nice to have, too. More variety.

And let's get labels or tooltips for the save/exit/import/export buttons, so new players know what needs to be done. It is irritating to go through a whole lot of editing, only to lose everything because you didn't know you needed to save them, or to exit before you are ready.

I would be happy if you took these suggestions into consideration. Anyway, keep up the good work.

P.S. If I may ask, why has the main page comment section disappeared?

The announcement says "Free part II 2.40", but I can not locate any way to download this supposedly free version. There's a minimum $3 purchase requirement here. Unless it's hidden behind a locked patreon posting, and I am not about to join yet another service just to maybe find it there.

(And wasn't itch supposed to be limiting adult content to free versions these days?)

So is it available somewhere, or what? I've already played through the chapter 7 offering from the Part I page.

I don't think I've ever seen someone act this self-entitled and self-righteous. I took the time and effort to try to give you advice, and all you can do it bitch and moan about how you are being treated.

Yes indeed, I will ignore you from now on.

Save files for Ren'py games are stored in your user's application data area, with copies of them available in the game > saves folder if you ever need to back up or restore them manually.

You should generally unzip to a new directory and run it from there. Your saves will be automatically imported. When you're sure it's working, you can delete the old install.

This is true on all systems, except perhaps Android. I don't play on my phone, so I can't say for sure.

Not intentionally rude, just blunt. And it works both ways. Ask politely and you will likely get more polite replies.

Too many posters ask simple questions that they should be able to figure out by simply being more persistent and observant. We are all experiencing these same challenges, and if we can do it, we expect you to be able to, too.

If you do hit a real stumbling block, you will probably get help, but you should make it clear that you really tried your best before asking.

Check the wares of the mysterious vendor who pops up from time to time at a couple of locations.

For some possessions you can get your body back simply by re-possessing it yourself. For others you can request it back by talking to them, or get help from Nel, or some similar technique.

In short, you have to figure it out. That's what makes them games.
