Rural Aquaculture Development (RAD) is co-run by Tim who relocated from the UK with his family to join Pauson based in Rukungiri and aims to provide fish farming services to reduce poverty in Uganda. RAD is an start-up Ugandan business supporting the growth of the local aquaculture sector, via an innovative service delivery model which enables smallholder producers to access aquaculture technologies. RAD is a ‘one stop shop’ for aquaculture producers offering services including; post harvest ‘buy back’, hatchery, supplementary feeding through Black Soldier Fly (BSF), access to equipment, and aquaculture expertise.
