Oscar Antoli is a clarinet and kaval player from the Iberian Peninsula based in Vienna. His work moves at the intersection of jazz, Mediterranean musical traditions, and contemporary chamber music. He studied Jazz and Modern Music at ESMUC in Barcelona and later completed a Master’s degree in modal music at Codarts in Rotterdam. Since moving to Vienna, he has become an active presence in the city’s diverse music scene, collaborating with artists from across the globe.
His music explores connections between improvisation, modal traditions, and contemporary composition, often inspired by geography, migration, and cultural exchange. His albums with the quartet Peninsulas (2019) and Isthmus (2022) trace musical routes across Mediterranean sound worlds, reflecting an ongoing search for dialogue between cultures and musical languages.
