Veterans, are you a Transformer?

As I layed back last weekend and watched the original 80s gem with my kids, "Transformers the Movie", that iconic theme song came on.

Of course, as a fan of this franchise and a lover of metal, I turned the volume up and jammed out for a bit to Lion's rendition.

As I listened to this song, which I had heard many times before, the lyrics took on a different and more evolved meaning for me.

#Veterans, are we are all Transformers?!

Prepare to strike, there'll be no place to run,

When you're caught within the grip,

Of the evil Unicron,"

There are frequently bad actors looking to do us harm. We never know when the next battle will begin. We enlist and commission to serve the nation. We are constantly in a state of preparedness for whatever comes next.

"Strong enough to break the bravest heart,

So we have to pull together,

No, we can't stay worlds apart,

To stand divided, we will surely fall,

Until our darkest hour,

When the light will save us all,"

We endure the toughest of situations mentally and physically while we are serving, many going downrange to meet evil on the field of battle. Alone we fall, but together we are mighty. We form some of the most exceptional teams on the planet. During our military Transitions, we go out in the civilian market alone, but there are fellow veterans and spouses out in that world ready to come together with you. There are many resources shared to help bring you to the outcome you desire.

"It's judgment day and now we've made our stand,

And for now the powers of darkness,

Have been driven from our land,

The battle's over but the war has just begun,

And this way it will remain,

'Til the day when all are one,"

After years of service, we finally take the stand and say "its time to go", pushing that separation or retirement button. You have spent years keeping evil at bay and the recent months preparing and networking, driving you towards that next chapter in your story. Will you continue to listen, connect, and learn? Our service may be done in our military chapter, but the next life has just begun. There is a different kind of darkness that can trickle in if you let it (doubt, fear). Let's connect and come together to continue to help each other stay out of the darkness.

Let's live our best lives until the day when we are all again one.

We Are more than meets the eye!

We transform from a military professional to a corporate professional or entrepreneur. There are many at times that do not see or understand our true value, but as we Transform into our new chapter...
