From a a QA score of 50 to 97 in a matter of weeks ⚡️📈 Our platform gives you the tools and assurance that your site is accurate, efficient, and compliant. Thanks to Drew Sitler and the Virginia Department of Social Services for the shoutout! 👏
Back in June, the Governor's Office and the Secretary's Office as well as the Commonwealth's IT agency, VITA, were looking to improve Quality Assurance (QA) scores of state agency websites. Our Virginia Department of Social Services website's QA score was a 50 (F-). Our goal was to get it to an 80 (B), so when my supervisor, Jacques Walker, gave me the assignment, I thought it may take a month. We allocated two months, but I was able to get the score up in just a few weeks. I was able to achieve this by working with many of our staff, communicating with managers, and coordinating with public site editors. By July, we were at a 90 - A, but I wasn't satisfied until we got an A+. By mid-July and since then we have been steadily scoring around a 97 or above with just a few minor broken link fixes here and there. I'm looking forward to continuing to use Siteimprove to monitor issues and improve the quality and accessibility of our websites for all users and citizens in the future. 📈
