Managing Partner, Customer Focused Strategies

As a working parent whose children are now grown, I vividly remember the push and pull of work and family responsibilities.  Throughout my boys’ childhoods, there’s no denying I missed a few things. But when we reflect on those years as a family, my kids graciously tell me they never felt I was absent from what counted. Except for the time they both swear that I left them at after-school care so late that they had to stay with the head of school until I arrived. 😊  Looking back, if I could do it over again, I’d have asked them more often which moments were the most important—rather than assuming I knew. I’d pause more, check in more, and adapt as we went. Today, I’m proud to hear from my adult kids that they generally felt supported, seen, and loved. But this article serves as a good reminder that balancing a career and parenting isn’t about perfection—it’s about intentional presence and the conversations we have along the way. #WorkingParents #Parenting #Leadership #WorkLifeBalance  https://lnkd.in/e_bTwemb
