Guess what's been on Linkedin's Sarah Steinberg's mind a lot these past 3 months? 🤔 In partnership with the World Economic Forum, we're thrilled to announce that the 19th edition of the Global Gender Gap report is officially live and it's a big one. Check out some of the key insights shared here 👇 https://lnkd.in/eNghdvXS
Women are losing leadership??? Really??? As if they had ample 'leadership roles' that are slipping out of their hands now??? No...they had none.. They seldom had leadership roles, as head of states, head of organization etc. Equality dimensions need to be REDEFINED.... 1. EQUAL PAY FOR EQUAL JOBS, regardless of gender; 2. NO Gender based ( soft or eye-candy) roles in professional world; 3. NO marketing presence ( in ads or promotional campaigns) where females are treated as Eye-candies ...e.g...displayed on bill boards, sitting on a sports car bonnet or excavators etc... 4. No gender discriminations in corporates, while selecting for strategic roles. 5. No role assignment by corporate heads to junior females on the basis of physical traits...( is it doable?) 6. No commoditization of pretty faces with specific traits, in media industryor elsewhere 7. Above all , inculcation of "Gender indifferent'' human behavior, in all walks of life...i.e. no room for male vulnerability at the back of miuse of 'Me too' campaigns or female vulnersbilities that prevents them in playinv positive roles in all walks of life... All imaginative wish list, which, may come true, one day....
Love this
Curious on what careers and industries it follows?

The problem is the data came from the world, economic forum
This year's Global Gender Gap Report is essential reading for anyone committed to building more equitable workplaces and economies. While progress has been made, the data clearly shows we still have significant work to do—particularly in closing economic participation gaps and advancing women in leadership. Kudos to LinkedIn and the World Economic Forum for driving this critical conversation forward. Let's turn these insights into action
Not every woman is willing to sacrifice their family to participate in the race to get to the top. Sadly, this is easier for men.
💡 Great insight
I've rewatched this more times than i care to admit 👏 Sarah Steinberg

2moClosing the leadership gap is essential to unlocking the full promise of the AI-powered economy. This cannot be achieved unless women are supported in leadership positions.
