- [Narrator] Artificial intelligence, thanks to Gen AI, has taken over our lives in so many ways. Its transition has been remarkable. It has gone from curiosity to ubiquity, from the lab to the living room, really fast in the last five years. Interestingly, many governments are racing to define AI regulations, rather than waiting for a critical mass of use cases to show up. Their goal is simple. They want to prevent harm to their citizens, but avoid scaling off innovators and investors. With high inflation and high debt, these governments want to avoid choosing between lives on the one hand and livelihoods on the other hand. So let's look at some key frameworks around AI regulation, so that you can invest in AI without incurring unnecessary risk over time. First up, the EU AI Act. Let's look at this in some detail.
