- [Instructor] Excel has any number of different date functions. If you go to the formulas tab in the ribbon and click "Date and time," you'll see quite a few of them here. We're going to be using a few of them in this worksheet. We've got a list of employees. This is hundreds of rows deep and we'd like to calculate their age today. And rather than typing in these functions, I've done this ahead of time, but let's talk about the first function we're going to be using. It's called DATEDIF and there's an oddity about this function. If you go to date and time, as I've showed earlier, you will not see that function name here and yet it is valid and it does work and it's very vital for a lot of users, myself included. As I double click cell E2. what are we doing with DATEDIF? We've got a starting date. In this case, it refers to the birth date. And today's date.
