- [Instructor] Cyber attacks are considered actions carried out to disrupt system networks. They can destroy or harm information on devices and networks. Attacks and risks are mostly mentioned together, but they aren't the same. Risk are vulnerabilities that are acted upon for a successful attack. There are several cyber attack that have developed over the years. Here are some of the common ones we need to be aware of. Let's discuss physical security and device tempering. The most common ways IoTs are attacked is when it's in an unsecured environment. In an open environment, anyone with close proximity to a device can have access to that device. This may not only cause harm to the device, but information embedded on the device can be accessed. The memory and computation of the device can be manipulated as well to the benefits of the attacker. In the worst case scenario, the device can be stolen due to their value.…
