- [Instructor] Welcome to another tip and trick for AutoCAD. In this particular tips and tricks video, we're going to be taking a look at how we can utilize grips in AutoCAD. Now, grips are those little blue squares that appear when you select any object or geometry in your AutoCAD drawings. And I'm going to take you on a quick little journey through grips to show you how they work and how you can use 'em to your advantage. To do that, we've got a drawing for you, which is 430 utilizing grips.dwg. As usual, you can download it from the library to follow along with the tips and tricks video. When you open up the drawing, you'll see it's a little office plan and you should be in the model tab in the drawing. Now, grips themselves show up when you select any object. So for example, this desk here is a block, hover over it, you can see it's a block reference on the layer desks. When I select it, it's got one little blue grip just there.
