- [Instructor] In this particular AutoCAD tips and tricks video, we're going to take a look at how we can utilize the CAD Standards functionality in AutoCAD. So for that reason, we've got a new drawing for you. It's called 291-CAD Standards.dwg. You can download it from the library as usual to follow along with the tips and tricks video. There is also another file to download, it's called CADstandard.dws. Again, you'll find it in the library. Download it and put it in the same folder as the 291-CAD Standards drawing. That way you know where your DWS file is as you work through this tips and tricks video. So, CAD Standards in AutoCAD, what do they do? Well, they allow you to check your CAD Standards in a drawing. So, at the moment, you'll see that this polyline, if I hover over it, is on the layer Building. This polyline is on a layer called Proposed Extension.
