- [Instructor] Once the genie is out of the bottle, it's hard to get it back in there. It's hard to put the toothpaste back in the tube. It's hard to unbreak the eggs. There are so many different things about once you've taken a step, it can be very hard to go back where you were. And that is definitely true of a lot of the work in AI, and especially with Generative AI. Now, in terms of laws and policies that are designed to address some of these risks, some of the prominent ones include the European Union's Artificial Intelligence Act of 2024. Also, the United Nations has released a document, which while it is not a binding thing, there's no enforcement, it is a series of recommendations. The document is called Governing AI for Humanity. And it gives a series of recommendations on the sorts of things that nations and other organizations should consider when passing laws about AI.
