Liechtenstein Finance e.V. recently published a highly insightful piece by its president, Simon Tribelhorn, who also serves as the managing director of the Liechtenstein Bankers Association. 💰 Venture Capital in Switzerland: Mixed Signals in H1 2025. The Swiss Venture Capital Report update is out, and it’s a story of both strength and strain. 🚀🇨🇭 CHF 1.47 billion was invested in Swiss startups in the first half of 2025 a remarkable +36% increase vs. H1 2024 and the third-highest total ever. ⬇️However, the number of financing rounds fell by 10%, showing how tough the environment remains for most startups. Capital is flowing, but only into a few, very large rounds. 🥶 Investors are more pessimistic about the prospects than last summer. Expectations, particularly for own fundraising and exit opportunities, are subdued. The situation therefore remains challenging, not only for start-ups but also for VCs. The concentration of capital, while positive for some, highlights the continued pressure on the broader startup ecosystem.
