Dear DevOps Engineers, Weekends are opportunities to review the past working week, the lows, the highs and in-between. It is the time for an Internal stand up 1. What did I do well this last week ? 2. Where did i perform poorly? 3. What can I improve and do better this coming week? 4. Which crash course can I take this weekend on YouTube or Udemy to quickly cover my knowledge gap? 5. How can I be a better team player, communicator and listener ? A DevOps Engineer should be a VERY good listener because our mistakes can be dangerous to the business because we manage pillar of the business. So taking out the weekend to perform a personal retro can help you improve even if it is just 1% more, compounding that in a quarter will improve your career and even your life in the long run. Pause this weekend, this embark from work(hopefully you are not fighting fire 🫠), and go into learning and retro mode preparing for another working week Have a wonderful weekend..
