After Hurricane Sandy, I founded UWSLoves which supported survivors in the tri-state area by cooking and delivering meals for over 1500 people, raising $40,000 in direct and in-kind donations, handling logistics for several major donations of goods to existing non-profits and grassroots relief efforts. For this work I received a White House Champions of Change Award in April 2013.
