Transfer data between Recruiter dashboards

Last updated: 3 months ago

As the owner or admin of your company’s LinkedIn Recruiter dashboards, you can request a data transfer between multiple dashboards within your company. This can help you ensure the data from the source dashboard is available in the destination dashboard.

Important to know

Once the data transfer process is initiated, it can take up to 24 hours to complete. A dashboard transfer may not be reversible. LinkedIn is not responsible if the data transfer cannot be reversed.

The following table describes information that is transferable and non-transferable between dashboards.

Transferrable to new dashboard Non-transferrable to new dashboard
Seat holder’s Inbox Any job posting and job posting history
InMail templates owned by the seat holder Additional/accrued InMails

Open projects

Note: The following items will be transferred if saved within a project:

- Saved searches (only visible in projects owned by the seat holder)

- Job applicants

- Search alerts

*Hiring Assistant will need to be re-enabled on transferred projects.

Profile notes, contact info, and tags saved on profiles Reporting
Active profile reminders (up to 10K max per seat holder) Search history

Important to know

Once a seat holder’s information is transferred to the destination dashboard, their license in the source dashboard will be parked. If you plan to keep the seat holder’s original license, please note that message history will remain with the original license holder on the source dashboard.

To transfer data between two dashboards within the same company:

  1. On your Recruiter homepage, click the Help icon in the upper-right corner and select Chat with support.

  2. In the textbox, enter “How do I perform a data transfer?”

  3. When prompted to select a product, click Recruiter.

  4. When prompted to select a topic, click License management.

  5. When prompted to provide more information, provide the following details:

    • List of seat holders to be transferred
    • Source dashboard name and ID
    • Destination dashboard name and ID
    • Identified authorized company signer
  6. LinkedIn Support will respond and will send you the Transfer Agreement form via Docusign.

  7. Complete the form and return it to LinkedIn Support.

LinkedIn Support will process the data transfer. Once the process is completed, an email will be sent to you confirming that the data transfer is complete.
