Generate the InMail Report in Recruiter and Recruiter Lite

Last updated: 2 months ago

The LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Recruiter Lite InMail Report provides you and your team valuable insights into InMail usage and performance. The report helps you easily identify the strategies that generate the highest response rates, enabling better decision-making and improved outreach.

Reports show data for activities up to two years before the current date and are displayed in Universal Coordinated Time (UTC +0). Recent activity may take up to 48 hours to reflect in the report.

Who can use this feature?

Admins can see reporting data for all licenses on all contracts. Licensed users can only see their own usage and effectiveness data unless the View reporting of other users feature is enabled under Preferences in Product settings.

Important to know

When you export the report from Recruiter Lite, only InMail Insights are included. InMail Details, such as Companies and Templates data, are not part of the exported file.

To generate an InMail report:
  1. Move your cursor over Reports at the top of your Recruiter homepage and select InMail from the dropdown.
  2. On the left sidebar, click the Edit icon near Date range to select a date range.

  3. Click the Add icon near each filter you want to use and select the data you want to filter.

    Important to know

The InMail response rate metrics show benchmark data. The default industry benchmark selector shown in the Benchmark filter on the left pane typically reflects the same industry categorization as listed on your company's LinkedIn Career Page. However, each organization can have multiple industry classifications, and each one has a "confidence score" based on standardized industry data. The classification with the highest score is used as the default benchmark. In most cases, this aligns with your company's LinkedIn Career Page and ensures that the default benchmark remains the most accurate option. The selector displays your company's industry selector in the Level 1 industry hierarchy, and the company size benchmark defaults to all sizes. You can still choose a different industry or company size using the Benchmark filter. Benchmarks are calculated only for the time frame you choose using the Date range filter.

  4. Click the Export button to download an XLS file of your report.
