The industry spent 2025 building checkout protocols for AI agents. Consumers are still deciding whether they want AI to browse for them — let alone buy. Our CPO Artem Sadurskyy looked at the data, mapped what has actually been shipped, and wrote up what people are ready to use, and what your payment infrastructure actually needs to support both. In this edition of the Orchestrator: ◆ The 34-point comfort gap between AI browsing and AI buying ◆ What protocols actually do today (and don't) ◆ Where payment orchestration fits as the channel develops If building for AI-assisted commerce is on your agenda, this edition is for you.

Scaling globally means making payments work locally. As Solidgate expanded across markets, complexity increased behind the scenes. With Nuvei’s global acquiring infrastructure alongside its orchestration layer, the focus shifts to consistent performance and scalable growth. The result is steady expansion across key regions, with payment volume growing month over month. See how it works 👉 https://lnkd.in/ea48e-hT

Every casual catch-up turns into a demo. But can you blame us for that? 😊 Solidgate is many things – no small talk will ever be enough for Alex Donohoe, our Sales Executive. We're a payment orchestration platform: cards, alternative payment methods, digital wallets, anti-fraud, chargeback prevention, subscription management, and business bank accounts – and yes, it's hard not to bring it up. But what really drives us is simpler: we handle payments so businesses can focus on building great products, without losing their mind or sleep over it. Build products. Not Payments.

𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗔𝗜-𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲 – 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲'𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹 🚀 Agentic commerce has moved into production with real transaction volume behind it. We've been watching this develop for a while. Now we're ready to support it for e-commerce merchants — starting with Google's UCP. UCP runs across Google Search, AI Mode, and the Gemini app, where shoppers can complete a purchase without ever leaving the conversation. 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲: ✔️ Transactions from Google's AI surfaces get routed, processed, and reconciled through the same stack that handles every other channel you're already on ✔️ You're in the first wave without having to rebuild anything "If you want to get into the first wave of agentic commerce, you can work with us directly. We're ready to support testing and adoption as this channel develops." — Artem Sadurskyy, CPO at Solidgate. Read the full announcement 👉 https://lnkd.in/diiXyr2X

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 Ihor Herasko, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘆 📣 When a former Head of Sales at Payoneer – someone who built and scaled sales across multiple European markets – decides to join your team, you know the product is ready for what's next. Ihor spent 10+ years in business development, most recently leading Payoneer's sales across Ukraine and several European countries. He built the teams, scaled the revenue engine, and figured out what makes cross-border payments work in markets where nothing is standardized. In his words: "Two things made this decision easy: the people – true professionals who know payments inside out – and the product itself. Solidgate Treasury has enormous potential. We're going to bring it to global markets and help thousands of businesses move money across borders using Solidgate's payment rails." That's exactly the kind of energy Treasury needs to play on the global level. Welcome to the team, Ihor! 👏

𝗣𝗦𝗣 𝘁𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝘃𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻𝘀: 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 Both tokens replace your customer's PAN with a substitute. But they work at different levels of the payment stack, and that difference affects your approval rates, portability, and costs. PSP tokens are often enough if: ✅ You process through a single provider ✅ You don't plan to switch or add acquirers anytime soon ✅ Your recurring payment volume is low ✅ You accept a broad mix of non-card methods – PSP tokens cover PayPal, SEPA, wallets, and anything else your provider supports ✅ Card-on-file freshness isn't a major concern ✅ You rely on PSP-specific tools like fraud scoring or risk engines that run on their own token references Network tokens start pulling their weight when: ✅ You run subscriptions where expired or reissued cards cause failed renewals ✅ You process across multiple PSPs or acquirers and need tokens that aren't provider-locked ✅ You're seeing issuer-side declines on stored credentials and want higher trust signals ✅ You operate in markets where Visa and Mastercard are pushing tokenization adoption ✅ You want lower interchange fees (both Visa and Mastercard offer rate incentives for network-tokenized transactions) In practice, 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵. Your PSP still generates its own token – but under the hood, that token maps to a network token instead of a raw PAN. You get the PSP-level tooling you already depend on, plus the network-level benefits. ► If you're early-stage and single-provider, PSP tokens do the job. ► If you're scaling across markets or running recurring billing at volume, network tokens are where the approval rate and cost gains come from.
