Our debut at Design Democracy 2025 in Hyderabad marked an important step for Ozar Objects. Our furniture met the hands, eyes, and conversations it was made for. Watching people lean back, trace the grain, and notice the difference that detail makes reminded us that design lives in interaction, not in display. The booth, thoughtfully designed by Portal 92, carried this philosophy into space: open, light and intentional. We’re grateful to everyone who paused with our pieces and shared their reflections. This month, Ozar made its debut at Milan Design Week, showcasing one of our most cherished designs, Nain. When we started Ozar Objects, the idea was clear: to create pieces that are original, honest in their materiality, and crafted with a level of detail and integrity that could stand alongside the world’s finest. But beyond that, we wanted to tell a larger story. A story of Indian craftsmanship: not as a supplier to global brands, but as a creator of design-forward, globally relevant work. To reframe how the world sees Indian woodworking: not just as a tradition to preserve, but as a skill to evolve. To see Nain, an Indian-made, Indian-designed piece, appreciated on a stage like Milan felt like a small but significant step toward that vision. It was surreal to witness our work displayed, noticed, and sparking curiosity at the world’s biggest design event. And to think this is just the beginning, the possibilities ahead feel limitless.
