Ceremonial handover of the presidency at HNU

A significant change in leadership took place on 27 February 2026 with a ceremony on the HNU campus. Prof. Dr. Uta M. Feser handed over her position as president to Prof. Dr. Julia Kormann, who took over the leadership of HNU on 1 March 2026. Markus Blume, Bavarian Minister of State for Science and the Arts, also awarded Prof. Dr. Uta M. Feser the PRO MERITIS SCIENTIAE ET LITTERARUM award for her outstanding services to science and the arts.
