PUBLIC ADDRESS + PAGING

Public address and paging systems use commercial audio equipment to increase voice reach and volume. They allow for a message to be delivered to hundreds, even thousands of people at a distance, and are suitable for environments of any size. We offer PA systems with all types of functionality, including fully programmable school bell systems, fire alarms, and building safety systems.

Keep it simple.

Simple PA systems, like the ones designed to reach 20-50 people, can be straight forward and require just a microphone, an amplifier and a speaker. These simple solutions are ideal for environments like:

  • Conference Rooms

  • House of Worship

  • Restaurants

  • School Gyms and Auditoriums

We partner with reputable audio vendors like Audio Enhancement, Bose, Biamp, Front Row and TOA to enhance our designs, and your message.

Be heard.

Larger PA systems can increase the reach of a message. Multiroom systems allow for information to be shared with a mass audience, and 2-way capabilities allow for enhanced communication. Installations of this scale are necessary for:

  • Airports and Transportation Hubs

  • Shopping Centers

  • Universities and Colleges

  • K-12 Schools

  • Fire Alarm and Bell Systems

  • Emergency Communication Systems

  • Commercial Buildings

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a public address system?

A public address (PA) system is an electronic amplification network designed to deliver clear audio across large areas or multiple zones within a building or campus. It allows a central source to broadcast voice, music, or alerts to specific areas or all areas simultaneously.

Do I need a PA system if I already have a phone system?

Yes, for most commercial buildings. A phone system reaches individuals. A PA system reaches spaces. In an emergency, the ability to broadcast an audible message to every area of a building simultaneously is a life-safety capability that phone systems do not replicate. Many local building codes require PA or mass notification systems for commercial occupancies above a certain size.

What is zone control in a PA system?

Zone control allows different audio to be sent to different areas of a building independently. A retail store might play music in the showroom while broadcasting staff announcements only to the back of house. A university building might page a specific floor without interrupting the rest of the building. Zone control is a standard feature of any modern commercial PA installation.

Can a PA system connect to fire alarms and emergency systems?

Yes, and in many jurisdictions it is required. Integrated emergency PA systems connect with fire alarm panels to trigger automatic evacuation announcements when an alarm activates. This integration is a code compliance matter in most commercial construction and should be designed in from the start rather than retrofitted.

What is the difference between an analog and a digital IP-based PA system?

Analog PA systems use dedicated wiring to carry audio signals to speakers. Digital IP-based systems transmit audio over a standard ethernet network, using the building's existing IT infrastructure. IP-based systems are more flexible, easier to expand, support remote management, and are now the standard for new commercial installations.
