Full disclosure I actually have an older version of this the 2018 reference WAY2113.BA0928, other than the fact that mine has a water resistance rating of 300m as opposed to this one’s 200m (and really there are very few people who that will affect); the 1mm difference in diameter and lug to lug measurements, mine being just 1mm larger in both measurements; the main differences are the date display, my Tag has this at the 3 as opposed to the six and it’s not got a gradient coloured dial and my bracelet is more basic. Now having said all that I love my Aquaracer. Tag has it’s detractors and a lot of what they say isn’t wrong, but I’ve been a fan of them since long before I got into watch collecting for real, and for me the Aquaracer line up is the quintessential lineup that displays the best of Tag; a sturdy sporty line that’s comfortable on, looks great with a decent enough movement (for reference my one has the same Calibre 5 movement as this one). The watch is very comfortable on feeling possibly a touch bigger than it’s 41mm but not overly so, I love the steel bezel that brings a hint of ruggedness to this very sporty timepiece and the horizontal grooves cut into the dial help bring some texture and visual stimulation to the dial without making it too busy. If my watch has a fault it would be that the date wheel isn’t colour coordinated as it is with the newer version, and that the bracelet doesn’t have the tool less adjustment that the newer one does.
