Built and continuously maintained with up-to-date Ruby on Rails and javascript libraries, on performant PostgreSQL databases, using AWS storage and services and the Salesforce Heroku enterprise-grade PaaS. Our distributed version control is managed on an enterprise GitHub account; we do not use generative AI tools to write our code; we have the most extensive test suite in the industry; and with the UK government-backed CyberEssentials certification, Consonance's technical and security arrangements are second to none.

An accessible interface for all

We are only recently signatories to the PAAG charter, because we wanted to make sure we have taken enough tangible action to earn our stripes. So now we have strengthened screen-reader support, improved keyboard-only navigation, and introduced dark mode and the Atkinson Hyperlegible Next typeface to enhance readability and reduce eye strain. Our team has undertaken accessibility training accredited by the IAAP; we've added automated Playwright Axe accessibility tests, and we perform manual testing with feedback from people with lived experience of disability.
