Hi Pial,
I just did a copy of about 10 BetterLinks for new purpose and it did not seem to affect the working of the source links I copied from.
For now we’ll have to pass the previous occurrence as having been a fluke.
Thanks for following up.Thank you for for replying. Further debugging found the problem with Contact Form 7 having an “Addtional Setting” “skip_mail: on”. Not sure how it get set but it stops the emails from being sent and removing it fixed the problem.
Hi Pial. I had already manually edited and saved each of the links that didn’t work so that they would work. So I cannot test your suggestion nor can I send you a link that does not work.
I just duplicated one and the original still worked so I still have no broken links to share.
Is there anything else I can do to help assuming that right now, I have no broken links?I have the 2.4.2 version of BetterLinks and I created a duplicate, made some changes, and saved it.
When I opened the newly created duplicate, the tag is not showing. So this is not resolved. Do I need to create a new same topic or can you open this one again?Sorry for the delay. I use BetterLink on an infrequent basis. The next time I am in there analyzing and adding new ones, I will get back to you. Thank you for the followup.

Awesomely quick and helpful reply as always, Pial!
Thanks once again!
Thanks for those tips. I do have those 2 settings as you suggested.
As for clearing the click data from the Reset button, is there a reason that there are only 2 options and hard-coded as 30 days and 90 says? Why not also allow a custom range where start and end dates can be entered?
And if that can’t be done, maybe there could be something where you can clear more recent clicks? For example, when a BetterLink is defined, it’s common practice me to to test it a few different ways. I’d like to be able to clear that recent data data.
And I may as well ask, for the clearing of data, would it be possible to allow the selection of which BetterLinks to clear rather than having to clear all or none? Thanks!
Pial,
As I did for the problem yesterday, I cleared SiteGround cache and the BetterLinks cache.
But unlike yesterday when that fixed the problem with not showing recent clicks, this problem remains.
I see a link that shows 1 total click in the last month and 23 unique clicks.
No I have not recently used any *database cleaner or optimization tools*.
I am not using *new caching plugins or services*.
The last time I recorded clicks was on 2/19/25 and there were none with more unique clicks than clicks.
So between then and now is when it happened
I am just noticiing that the probelm is not in the Manage apps where it shows 25 total and 8 unique for L&L Carpet.
For the analytics for the last month, it shows 1 total and 23 unique.
So how can it have 23 unique in the last month and 8 total unique in the Manage Links area?Hi Pial,
I used the Siteground “Purge SG Cache” and then cleared the BetterLinks cache (reset button).
Now I see the activity for the links I just used.
Thank you for your quick reply and quick solution!
By the way, I did first choose the Refresh stats before looking.
Hi Pial,
Thanks for the reply.
Let’s say my current temp domain is “temp-host”.
I have a BetterLink with a target url of “/rose” and a shortened url of “https://temp-host.com/flower”
When I change the domain to “real-host”, you are saying the shortened url will remain “https://temp-host.com/flower”? Since the shortened url has to be the same as the domain name (I have the free version of BetterLink), then I thought the domain change for the site would force BetterLink to make the change to any shortened URL’s.
You said I cave to export all my BetterLinks, then after I changed the domain to the correct one, I would then delete all the BetterLinks and import them from the export. Is that correct?
And is that the only way to end up with the correct BetterLink of target url of “/rose” and a shortened url of “https://real-host.com/flower”?I didn’t do a screen recording because I didn’t think it would help. If you want a screen recording or a screen capture, let me know what you want to see.
Thanks
Aha! So it was that simple after all this back and forth. 🙂 With a bigger date range, I can see all 19 links in the analytics. Thank you.
I didn’t realize there was an active date filter and that it is always working. The visual appearance of it, which is a very light color, makes it appear as if it is not active. Also, I always scroll right past that section because I want to see the table at the bottom. So I don’t even see the date filter.
Perhaps the date filter could also be displayed on the bottom chart section near the “search” box?
Thanks again…
Hi,
To go through all the steps I took on video in my host and the site might compromise some personal info if I am not careful.
What I can say is that after clearing all the cache in my site host and on the page itself and refreshing the links stats, I still have analytics showing only 7 of the 19 links I have.
And I am also noticing that the stats shown in the Manage Links for each link are not close to the stats in the Analytics. Shouldn’t those numbers be the same for a given link?

Hi,
Sorry for the delay.
So it’s been long enough now that any caches should be cleared. Plus I cleared all page cache, mem cache, and dynamic cache. Refreshing analytics still shows only 7 of the 19 links I have.
Closing the notice removed it from displaying on each page load. I assume any new notice from BetterLinks will display on each page load until this gets fixed. So until then, I will just close them.
Thank you!
