    Hello,

On all sites we manage, we get such messages:

The last rules update for the Wordfence Web Application Firewall was unsuccessful. The last successful update check was 24 March 2026 19h17, so this site may be missing new rules added since then. You may wait for the next automatic attempt at 5 April 2026 17h45 or try to Manually Update by clicking the “Manually Refresh Rules” button below the Rules list.

And manual update fails. Servers in Russia. Maybe WF blocks?!

    Hi @ruzakuku,

Thank you for reaching out! Firewall rule updates require your server to connect to our rule update server (noc4.wordfence.com). Since this is happening on all your sites, something at the hosting or network level may be preventing that connection.

Can you send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com? You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

If you have SSH access, run this command and share the output at the same email: curl -v https://noc4.wordfence.com?ticket=ruzakuku

The diagnostics will let us check your configuration, and the curl test will show us exactly what happens when your server tries to reach our update server.

    Thanks,
    Margaret
