We started getting this message recently when trying to setup notifications (on the main Notifications page):

From Email must match exactly one schema in oneOf.

We never used to have to set the “from” address – is this new?

  • Hi @caordawebsol,

This looks like a bug which reproduces instantly (SolSec 9.3.8, WordPress 6.8.1).

@shanedelierrr, This needs some TLC from SolidWP πŸ˜‰

    @caordawebsol,

I forgot to mention that as a workaround you can enter the default WordPress from email address. Let’s say your site domain is http://www.example.com. You would then enter wordpress@example.com as the from email address. That should allow you to save changes to Notifications.

Hello team, sorry for the slow turnaround here, and thank you very much for flagging this!

I’ve escalated this to our dev team for fixing. I’ll keep you updated here as soon as I have any feedback or progress to share.

    Thanks again!

See there–and I thought I was losing my marbles. I have had the same issue too after using the plugin for years. Hopefully the patch is pending…I don’t need to be notified every time a bot gets locked out.

I have the same issue on multiple sites.
Basically, on saving to disable any email notifications I see a JS error in console and is not saving that configuration.
So right now I am getting spammed from my own websites because I can’t turn off the email notifications.

    Same here, it’s freakin’ annoying

The workaround is to add a “from” email address in the main Notification screen. The text there says to leave blank to use the default but that isn’t working right now. I’ve just been putting wordpresss@<domain> and it works OK to activate/deactivate notifications then as needed.

    Hey there,

Thanks for your patience while we got this sorted out. I can confirm that the issue with Notification Center settings not saving correctly has been resolved in the latest release β€” Solid Security 9.3.9.

If you’re still seeing problems after updating, try clearing any site/server cache and give it another go. But this fix should take care of things.

Appreciate everyone who reported this and helped us track it down!

    Best,
    Kevin
