Email from SDSU Professor to Students in “AHS 111: Global Citizenship and Diversity” Class

The following is an email sent by the teacher of SDSU’s “AHS 111: Global Citizenship and Diversity” course to students in the class. The email is inappropriate. It has a bitter and argumentative tone; it takes positions on several controversial political issues, including whether the U.S. should provide a universal basic income; and the email sends the signal that anyone who disagrees with those positions must be either stupid or immoral.
