WCK Serving Communities Across the Middle East

World Central Kitchen Zakat Eligibility & Verification

At World Central Kitchen, we operate from a simple conviction: food is a human right. In moments of crisis, access to meals becomes urgent, immediate, and essential. Our teams move quickly to cook and distribute fresh, nourishing food to families facing displacement, instability, and hunger.

When you give your Zakat to World Central Kitchen, it is directed to our food relief efforts in Gaza and across the Middle East, where communities are experiencing acute need. Your contribution supports the preparation and distribution of meals and food parcels delivered directly to those eligible to receive Zakat.

World Central Kitchen is honored that our work in Gaza and the broader Middle East has been certified as Zakat-eligible by respected Islamic scholars and institutions, including the Jordanian General Fatwa Office and the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought. In North America, our Gaza operations have received Zakat verification from Shaykh Aarij Anwer of the National Zakat Foundation Canada, as well as Shaykh Joe Bradford and Shaykh Yaser Birjas via LaunchGood.

We take the amanah of Zakat seriously. Funds designated as Zakat are strictly allocated to food assistance for eligible recipients and are not used for overhead, administrative, or infrastructure expenses. All food distributed is halal and culturally appropriate, with ingredients verified by our culinary team.

Distributing Zakat is a trust that we handle with care, transparency, and deep respect for the responsibility entrusted to us.

World Central Kitchen does not rent, share, or sell any donor contact information (address, phone, email) with third-party organizations.
