Add a woody feel to your browser

One of the popular aspects of Firefox is the way it's open to customisation. There are dozens of extremely useful add-ons which can hugely extend the functionality of the program.

Top Recommended Alternative

Less useful but often just as popular are the large number of themes available for Firefox. Themes let you 'skin' the program by adding a whole new look to the program's window borders, menu bars, options dialog windows etc.

Walnut is a fairly popular theme which adds a wood effect to your Firefox. Quite why anyone would want to do this is a question for another day.

The theme includes skins for all aspects of the browser, and a custom icon set. The theme is not particularly attractive and certainly renders Firefox less usable.

Walnut theme. Personally, I love this theme. I have used it for ages and have never bothered looking for a replacement. And it annoys me when reviewers make comments like "renders Firefox less usable" without giving examples.

Adds style. Of course it is all a matter of taste. Personally, I like the wood look to my browser. It adds a welcome organic look to my computer that contrast with the general cold, techy feel that one usually has when using a computer.I did not use this theme for too long. As a web developer usability is important to me. But so far, I did not see anything in this theme that decreases Firefox's usability. Pros: Nice organic, bright look Cons: With many add-ons and icons, the task bars may have a cluttered feel to them. However this is much better than most Firefox Personas that I tried so far.
