New fall vignetts.

Challenging my self this year to use what I already have. I'm in love with that lovely flower on the bottom. It's a napkin ring and I only found one, last year after sale.  The little mirror bottom tray is my favorite , thank you Beth I love it.  

These are my collection of junky pearls that I use on projects. I thought of putting all together in this vase and I like it, I get to see them.

Working on some mixed media backgrounds.

It's been raining for days here in Miami, defensively indoor weather. I have missed working in the garden, so the next best thing for me is playing with my paints. I decided to work on some backgrounds for my journals. I'm usually working on more than one journal at a time. This beautiful tissue paper was used to wrap some goodies a sweet friend just gave me. The minute I saw it I new I was going to use it in a journal, some how. I hope I don't eventually cover it up so much with layers of paint that I won't be able to see the pretty polka dot colors.   

  I also worked on some mail art. Once they are done I just cover the address area in white Gesso and now they're good to go.

  Some of my favorite tools, bubble wrap and house hold items. With all the fancy tools I have, these are still my favs.

Fall decorating, FUN.

These little vignettes are new this year. I challenged myself not to add any new items to decorate with. It's amazing what different looks you can come up with by working with what you already have. What works for me is to clear the area completely. Then I lay all the items that I'm going to work us. I then try to pair up things that I have not used together before.   

Decorating for fall.

I needed a centerpiece for this coffee tabel. So I came up with this quick and simple little vignette. The rustic box I got from my sister and the rest I had. My goal was to use what I had and not purchase new items. I think I pulled it off.  

I love fall.

Moving things around and making room for my fall decorations. The problem comes when you like something so much that you just hate to have to put it away. So I've decided to just work around my shabby winged dressform.  It's still a work in process, I'll share as soon as I get more done.

Mix media fall canvas.

I had so much fun creating this canvas. I got to play with some Beeswax and Perfect Pearls. I want to challenge my self to explore into new techniques and try things that I've never done before. I did a video explaining a what I used.  

Starting to decorate for fall.

Ok so I finally took my fall decorations out and I'm planning to work on my home this weekend. I told myself I was not going to buy anything new, I have plenty of beautiful things that I really love. But, I was looking for this stick leave shape, to match the one you see already altered and I'm so happy because I found it. I'm taking my time and enjoying the process. 

  I made these last year, but want to display them a little different this year. Let's see what I can come   up with

                   He is really special to me because my sister made him. I think he's so darn cute.

I'm calling these "My Tag Girls".

Some of the images are printed on fabric and some on paper. I had lots of bits of scraps left over from a project and used them all on these. I think these images are so sweet, they are my favs.  

My take on Your ATC Store October kit.

Ok, well this is my take on the ATC kit for this month from Your ATC Store. This is the FREE kit for the month of Oct. The kit is free with a $15.00  purchase, once this kit is gone, it's gone. But what I like is that she has lots of other beautiful ATC kits and they are so inexpensive. I was a fan of this store way before I design for them. My favorite are the little embellishments, perfect for ATCs.
