Our Mission

UVP is dedicated to providing efficient undersea intervention. With experience in operating, maintaining, and conducting undersea research with ROVs since 1989, the UVP team possesses the skills and knowledge required to perform extensive end-to-end mission coordination and logistics, professional vehicle operations, and quality data collection.

Multibeam Ground Truthing

The Mohawk ROV provides HD eyes on the seafloor to investigate multibeam or side scan sonar surveys. Integrated tracking and navigation system provides ROV position, heading, depth, and altimeter readings in real time and in post processed logs.

Exploration of Deepwater Habitats for Biotechnology Potential Exploration of Deepwater Habitats for Biotechnology Potential UVP worked with Harbor Brach Oceanographics Institute in April 2024 offshore of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands with the primary goal of collecting marine organisms that may contain natural products that can be developed into useful pharmaceutical products Exploration of Deepwater Habitats
Mesophotic and Deep Benthic Communities Restoration  Mesophotic and Deep Benthic Communities Restoration  Since 2020 UVP has worked with NOAA to understand the effects of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico as part of the ground truthing team providing habitat surveys via image, video and extensive sample collecting. National Marine Sanctuary Researchers Discover Lost Shipwreck IRONTON National Marine Sanctuary Researchers Discover Lost Shipwreck Ironton In 2021 UVP teamed up with Thunderbay National Marine Sanctuary and Ocean Exploration Trust to capture high resolution video and photo documentation of the recently discovered and identified Ironton Lost Shipwreck Ironton
