Mohawk produces HD video and digital still photographs (forward and downward facing) to capture the seafloor habitat and inhabitants. CTD, pH, and O2 measurements are constantly measured and logged for the entirety of the dive.

Geo referenced photos accompanied by dual scanning lasers set to 10cm give an in-situ record of samples before collection. Custom-designed, science-specific sample skid is outfitted with a 5-function manipulator arm, samples can be picked up, snipped or suctioned.

Agile, maneuverable, and ballasted to be slightly positively buoyant, to not kick up the silt of the seafloor by upward vertical thrusting. The Mohawk ROV is well suited for circumnavigating sunken shipwrecks and has assisted in discoveries and identifications.

HD video is recorded for the entirety of the dive, marine organisms are captured in their natural habitat. The very same reef structures, logging markers, sediment blocks, track lines etc. Can be visited year after year to gain long term understanding.

The Mohawk ROV is accustomed to and adept at choosing sights for larger habitat monitoring instruments, artificial reefs, coral propagation sites, etc.

Outfitted with a 5-fuction manipulator arm and bio-box for storage, the Mohawk ROV has deployed countless data loggers and go pros, as well as more complex items such as concrete blocks and marine sediment collection arrays.

From lost scientific gear to fouled mooring lines on buoys to checking gear landing sites, the Mohawk ROV runs search patterns, is equipped with a razor blade cutter, and recovery line with flotation marker.
