What is the game about?
The game starts during one winter night as your character is having difficulty falling asleep and is feeling restless. With your mom in deep slumber, you go to your living room and find a mysterious old book that you got from the town bookstore earlier that day. With nothing else to do, you decide to read it and know what its story is all about.
The book tells the tale of one old Alaskan folklore about an evil creature known as the TORNUKTU. Its physical form is described to be part-man and part-reindeer, with black fur and glowing eyes. You begin to hear strange noises coming from all over the house. You slowly realize that the things you're reading are reflecting and transpiring in real life as you turn each page of the book.
The game captures the essence of classic PS1-style horror games really well. The low-poly graphics and great sound effects all contribute to the scary and foreboding feeling that it tries to project onto players. It does have a short playthrough that ends rather abruptly. Depending on how you play, it can be finished in under 10 minutes. It's a quick horror adventure, that's for sure.
