Why do i need to support The Mowlem?
At the heart of Swanage’s creative life, The Mowlem champions local performance groups, hosts classes and workshops, supports major festivals, welcomes touring artists year-round, and operates as an independent cinema and bar – proudly supporting local at every level.
As a registered charity, we rely almost entirely on ticket sales to sustain our work, and therefore regular support from our local community is vital to keeping The Mowlem thriving. We are aware that our visitors often don’t realise that we are a charity, and this is something that we’d like to change. Becoming a Mowlem Member or Maker is a wonderful way to be part of our onward journey.
