Christy Hui is the Director/Writer/Producer of TEA: The Drink That Changed The World, on a mission to preserve tea traditions and celebrate humanity through tea culture. A lifelong tea aficionado who grew up watching her father practice Gong Fu Cha in China, she spent seven years creating this TEA Documentary, gaining unprecedented access to film in China's forbidden tea region of Wuyi Shan—the heart of tea history.
Over her 7-year film journey, Christy discovered that the more she learned about tea, the more there is to know. The tea realm is mystical, boundless. The Tea Culture Workshop is a world-exclusive flagship program — a 90-minute immersive experience featuring an exclusive filmmaker talk, rare Wuyi Mountain Gong Fu Cha tasting, and open Q&A. Designed as a standalone signature program, it integrates seamlessly into any festival schedule — indoors, seated, and intimate.
Does my attendees need to watch the documentary beforehand?
It is not required, however, viewing before the event will give participants optimal experience as Christy takes everyone behind-the-scenes with stories and fun facts. Fans prefer watching the film prior to attending the workshop as it gives them the opportunity to ask questions, enhancing the whole workshop experience.
Who is the Tea Culture Workshop suitable for?
The Tea Culture Workshop is perfect for tea lovers, history buffs, documentary/movie fans, cultural explorers. Anyone who is into learning something new and connecting with like-minded people and interesting conversations.
