Verify your identity

Organization admins can enforce an additional layer of security by requiring you to verify your identity before accessing their Atlassian apps.

Verify your identity using a verification code

When you're prompted to verify your identity as you try to access an Atlassian app:

1. Go to your inbox where you will find an email from us with the subject: Verify your identity.

2. Copy the six-digit verification code that we provide.

3. Enter the verification code in the designated box.

How often do I need to verify my identity?

Your session is valid for 7 days. You’ll need to verify your identity again once the session expires.

How long is the verification code valid for?

The verification code we send you via email is valid for 30 minutes. If you don’t use it within this time, you’ll need to request a new code.
