I genuinely think most people don't quite understand just how big of a deal it is that Nintendo put the word Nonbinary front and center in a direct and a gender select screen (the dating preferences too, of course).

Households will play this, kids will see it; and its presence as an equally legitimate option, not a "secret" controversial & "inappropriate" thing could have a huge positive impact going forward, especially as it now sets the stage for other mainstream franchises to follow suit.

It's now especially important that tomodachi life succeeds and sends the right message back to Nintendo. They've stuck their necks out for us and personally, I'd really like to see them rewarded for it.

(deep inhale) have you guys ever heard of a visual novel called melancholy love i played it like half a month after it came out. to this day there's only 58 reviews on steam i made the doesthedogdie page for it (which idk if that's up still or if my vote for the self harm warning was kept)i really want to replay it because it ends in the absolute funniest way. spoilers if anyone cares but it ends with a ZOOTOPIA REFERENCE LIKE LINE FOR LINE ZOOTOPIA REFERENCE anyway i also really need to play the prequel. i had the demo for it on itch.io but i think the full game is on steam too if it counts i was also a really early on purrfect apawcalypse fan. like only the first game was out (and it was free) early

this shit owns it's just a number go up idle game except the idle mechanic comes from you writing JavaScript to automate tasks it seems like the end goal of the game is to perfectly optimize against this little arbitrary system they've created. There's not any plot to speak of so far but even though nothing is happening people send you messages through the computer telling you to trust no one as they all have ulterior motives. Very relatable.

Bitburner is an idle game about hacking that teaches real JavaScript

You don't have to know JavaScript to get started.
